Sandy bottom with breaking waves and open shoreline habitat.
Bare rock and boulder structure without kelp cover on top.
Giant kelp anchored to rock, growing up through the water column.
Sandy bottom carpeted with eelgrass or surfgrass.
Sheltered low-energy embayment, often with an estuary or lagoon.
Open water away from structure. Tuna, yellowtail, and dorado country.
Sharp vertical structure with a real depth change, including pinnacles, walls, and drops.
