I just swam around to check the visibility. Trying to calibrate the algorithm better. Had a good time at the beach with @boatridingseaweed. Perfect weather, warm water!!!

crystal clear, slight wind, warm water and beautiful day. waves were kind of choppy tho. the kelpantor got NO action.
The first mistake was going at low tide. I couldn’t get past the reef. The second mistake was going on a day when the waves were too big, which caused the water to be super murky and full of sediment.

The conditions were fantastic. The water was 72 degrees, and it was super blue and clear. I’m proud to say that the website predicted the visibility exactly right: roughly 13 feet. Session was good, but I didn’t really see a ton of corbina. I managed to get 3 corbina that were about a foot long. I think this spot might be heavily pressured though. I did see some schools of surf perch which is cool. I really wanted to get some surf perch. Forgot to take pics of my corbina because I wasn’t thrilled about their size.
My brother Blake and I saw on the website that the visibility all across San Diego was literally perfect. 15-30 foot vis across SD, and 77 degree water. We had an incredible day swimming around the surf zone of mission beach, spearing corbina, and trying to spear spotfin croaker that would come through every now and then. Also saw a couple large schools of sargo in the surf, which I had never seen before, and also barred surf perch, which I hadn’t see at that spot. Oh, also saw schools of striped mullet.

Much better visibility than usual today. Speared a couple Corbina and a Sargo in the surf. Water was extra warm, around 75 degrees.
